Now that is down right mean. Why would you want to torture somebody like that.
You're right, the tech section partially fit the bill. But what's posted in it are articles, not post, meaning people may feel intimidated putting incorrect info, or simply detered by the hassle of reformating their post in an "article" shape. If I understand your intent, the "Tech" tab at the top was supposed to be a "how it was done" article resource. It worked out well a while but I'm not sure many go to it or even know about it these days.
I think I get what you are saying but not really sure how to make articles more accessible.
The difference may be only psychological, but that's how I feel it.
If you could just put thread symlink, there's no need to care about the presentation, it's just about making more visible existing thread.
A "mod" section would probably allow more bubbaing and whackiness, but it's ok, we're all mod wackos.

you can reply to the articles so it fits the bill....what's up with that being intimidated? I have people telling they are afraid to post here..wtf?
Add your mod to the articles and let the discussion run.....

Dunno, the place looks quiet and neat, and I got the feeling all information there have reach their maturity, not place to argue, it's all proved and approved reference.
It may not be how it is, but it's how I see it.
I'll take time to know it a little better.
A mod section may allow less certitudes and more experimentation.
But, as Michel said, it's was just some wishful thinking.
Wrong use of word there, sorry. I should have rather said discuss. Because the same mod comes in different flavor, and I think that's something worth discussin.I'm also not seeing what you mean by "a place to argue". From the beginning we tried to stay away from that at VM (although there is always a push, by some, to do that). Also, there are LOTS of other forums out there for that.
