Some interesting metal working tools

That is pretty amazing. They even make a desktop version.

they were at SEMA last year, got a price for them to make quarter panel for my 1964 Buick wagon. $1000... frankly, just waiting to get the car back out to work on and I'll have them build a pair. It really is a game changer. Also in talks to buy the equipment to create a west coast company (they're in Florida).

Of course, all this got put on hold (again) because we're moving to Sandpoint Idaho and where we bought we're going to build a house and shop....

Well, I don’t envy any one moving. Good luck with the move.

On another note, I bought a small powder coat oven and started to look into some videos.

Spraying the powder is messy and makes me wonder about the health hazards. I think I’d want a shed or place outdoors to spray the powder.

I've seen powder coating done. That is a LOT of overspray! The floor is green after this.

Yeah, there are other videos showing how to modify the two available entry level guns.

I liked his final results on the beadlocks, so linked that.

Seriously though, it does look like a health hazard unless you make a booth or shed.

On one video, a guy preheats the parts to get powder to stick in tight spaces.

“Powder coating is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to paint a surface. There's no solvent, negligible VOCs, no heavy metals, no hazardous waste.”

That was posted on Reddit. Looks like most of the health issues are breathing the dust.

My guess is you start with a flat sheet and small rollers on the bottom, then start rolling.

This sort of looks like the handle may spread the rollers apart? Also, there is a weird gap on the right side mandrel. You cant pivot the handles down 180 so maybe you bend 90 degrees from the top then flip over? Or put the fixture up on something?

Yeah, pretty much what I was thinking. Once rolled you still have some width adjustment. A lot of machine for 200.

Ad still up.
FB marketplace Cambridge PA

“This is a custom roll bender for making oval mufflers. Was used to make stainless oval mufflers. $200 or best offer.”

More photos there if anyone interested. :)IMG_3406.jpeg
