All car projects on hold for summer 2014

It's more important to get the interior done, therefore I decided to simply paint the bare blocks for now..... Scraping, wire-brushing and two coats of elastomeric paint..... This should get me by for a year or two until I figure out what I want to do (probably that insulating foam and stucco)....

Made some progress inside the house too, looks like I'm getting pretty good on drywall work...... :smash:

Yeah, pretty nice..... Going to meet the insurance adjuster tomorrow AM.... We'll see how that goes, hope he just leaves a check and we go on with life.....

I already placed my order for two new taillights so that I can drive the car legally and not get a ticket, those should get here Wednesday.....

The bumper needs some new paint..... Probably a new impact bar too......

First thing is trying to pull the tail panel back to release the pressure on the trunk latch..... Right now I can't open the trunk......

Thank god there's nothing important in the trunk ..... Would really suck if I had groceries in there..... Lol
 
Seeing that you are getting good with dry wall just dry wall the rear end, its just a rust tang....lol

Linda and I been married 13.5 years now, and wooden we know it, she been hit in the rear, stand still in traffic FOUR TIMES now.....last time totalled her '99 Escort but good, 6.5 hours for her in the hospital....at least no broken bones, but she was black and blue all over.....

DAMN these PAD PHONES....people driving and watching that damn screen instead of the traffic patterns....One kid that hit her Miata had her nose in the damn PAD instead of the damn road, sees the cars next to her take off and instead of looking ahead of her, slams into Linda....:clobbered::club:

I have a flip on the hip, and really don't see the need for all that text crap, want to speak to ME, speak englush and get it the hell over with....

on MY end, I dont have the time/effort to search each key out on some touchy feely PAD to .com a 5 second message I can talk to......bunch of worthless dumbing down crap AFAIK.....

my Sammy Rugby been fine over 5 years now....

She got a ticket and (i think) 4 points....

Good news: adjuster left me a check .... So within 24 hrs of the accident I have a check in my hands .... Way to go Geico!!!

I ordered two new taillights yesterday and those will be delivered tomorrow- Amazon prime -free 2nd day shipping
 
im no fan of texting either, my android has voice operated texting and i won't even use that driving.people don't know how to talk anymore. stupid stuff indeed.

Same here with iPhone, speak your text message and you're done .... Quick and easy..... No reason to take your eyes off the road.....

What you need man?? help with new kitchen?? bath (s)? plumbing/electric?? if you ask me what color to paint the walls, and pressure me like some customers used to do, I would suggest that it's their house, so my opinion don't count, then if asked again, I would reply 'Purple with Pink Polka Dots' just for the humor and get everyone laughing to end that conversation thread.....:rofl::rofl:

I could use some fresh ideas on how to arrange the kitchen cabinets - free standing island/bar .... I'm pretty much stuck with one idea but maybe there's better ways to do this.... With your 50+ years of remodeling experience you might see something I don't see......

I am taking a break though..... Going on a cruise tomorrow, returning next week.....I am busting my ass on this new house for too long......

I'll send you a few pics when I'm back......
