Looks great! I like that you've made subtle changes while still staying true to the heritage. Can't wait to see the finished product!
So I hired a guy to do a rendering of my car to get an idea of what it will look like when it's done. What do you think?

I'd like the satin/grey on all the trim with what you're going for. Will those bits be powdercoated? As to the wheels and hood - why not go with a satin clear coat on those? That would tie all the pieces together.
Have you considered removing the door handles and using a solenoid system?
Sorry, I've been listening to "Car" Tunes all day in the garage. Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Eddie Cochran, etc. while wrenchng on Elvira's IRS and rear Brake setup."Door handles are off - but you know I'll never miss'em. They open when I want with a ..."

My '72 is also a rag top, and when I did my pitiful paint job, I also removed the door locks on the surface, no point to lock a convertible.....:surrender:

Dude, are those wheels Enkei's?
I see custom side markers, aftermarket or from another car?
One issue I've had with my build is that the tail lights I bought are LED but they don't build them with reverse. Well I saw the build that Denpo is doing and really liked the idea he had for his lights. With his help I have a great start in the direction I'd like to go. Using the COB Angle ring lights I'd construct the housing out of aluminum and then powder coat them charcoal to match the wheels and other pieces like the door handles, window trim, etc. What I could use some help with is the making of the lens. I'd want it to be clear and have a slight dome. Not one as dramatic as the domed LED lights you can buy for these cars, but I definitely don't want it flat. Is there anyone out there that has ideas how would be the best way to get these made? What material would be best for it's clarity and durability?

Years ago I needed backup lights for my custom '72 so I went to Carlisle car show and picked up a couple of backup light from an unknown car for less than ten bux, wired them in, they are below the bumpers and shine pretty good, about 2" square and clear dome glass.....maybe try Amazon or Ebay???
