C-5 power train

is it possible to eliminate the torque tube in a c-5 power train as to copy the new vette power train/mid engine set-up for a trans plant in a wagon??

with enough money, time and dogged determination, anything is possible. with that said most of the LS-powered, mid-engine cars use the (iirc) 929 Porsche transaxle

This shop makes a conversion for the C5 transaxle for a driveshaft so elimination of the torque tube is possible:
