ok, got the new transaxle nose cone installed. Shifter rod looked good, no other signifficant wear under the old nose cone..... pretty straightforward job, just very messy with all that gear oil.... going to pull the axle tubes this weekend I hope....

I dunno WTF it IS about diffy fluid, but smell that shit UPWIND about 3 blocks away......some sort of combo of Alligator shit, and Moose droppings.....:surrender::smash:

A friend who's been working long time ago in a car shop told me one of his coworkers found out that using transmission fluid before soap was helping a lot when cleaning his hands.
Turned out the guy started bringing some home, so he could use on his whole body before taking his shower :bonkers:
He told me that because, 5 years after, he just been told the guy died of skin cancer.
Darwin award if you ask me.
Those fluids are nasty.

looked thru my pile of scrapmetal and found a few parts that I welded up to make a door support stand..... this thing is sweet, makes the job a lot easier.... going to paint four doors so it'll be a huge help.....

re-sealed the drver side axle tube.... one more to go then the trans can finally go back under the car.....
