Would have liked to see some pics of the build. Wonder how he got the specs on the chassis etc. Unpainted body is a nice touch. If he painted it most people would think its fiberglass.

Good questions. He lived in Italy (a long time I think) and was tied in with the automotive industry. So must have had contacts. Museum cars for study maybe?

No kidding, all I could think was big $$$$$$$$$$$. All those fixtures and that table!

When they assembled the body, I was guessing it was mostly aluminum, but don’t know for sure.

With convertible prices and chrome bumper cars increasing in price....

Basically, they sell a 68 -69 rear clip with 4” flares and hardtop convertible conversion for 2400. Actually a good price when you calculate the cost of buying a hardtop, convertible windows, flares, etc. looks like this leaves the coupe t-tops and windows.

Tried to upload a photo but was too big. Actually, pulling off the rear clip to build a cage would make this a great conversion.
