Here are some pictures I took in 1974. At the SCCA Chimney Rock Hillclimb. I just found them over the holidays. Damn,, what a good life...... Dont remember any of the drivers names,, only one was John Scott who drove the 289 Cobra. Go figure, I remember the ford driver???

At the finish line, getting ready to go back down. Notice the trailer hitch on the C2,, I'm sure he hauled his tools, race tires and wheels up and changed when he got there.
McLaren M6B,, Group 7? 427 ZL1 best I can remember. Injected, 600hp plus,,, weight 1700lbs. I was watching at the turn it crashed in. He hit the gas, turned sideways, shot down the bank and into the woods.. What a terrible sound of breaking fiberglass..
