It threw the belts yesterday - need a serpentine setup

If you go with a factory serp belt setup you can run the short aluminum water pump from an 88 vette if you get a merc cruiser pulley. The part number for the pulley is 807729t.

Hey Twin Turbo, if you don't like it then don't use it. I do and don't really care what you think or what you put on your's. The guy asked and I just suggested an option for him. They don't hit the frame and the groove is there for the power steering. If everybody did the same thing then these cars would be pretty boring. I don't post much because of the crappy remarks that some feel the need to say about what one person does or doesn't do. So don't worry I wont post or reply to anything anymore, because I never really listened to anything you had to say anyway.:censored:

I guess I`m a poser too...

The dry sump pump makes you a little less of a poser since it needs one :)

I've seen the same brackets as the F-body setup in some GM sedans, too. I think I pulled some sundry bits and pieces off of a couple of V8 Caprices, if memory serves.

Here is my 82 vette with 84 vette drivers side serpentine stuff and 85-87 vette a/c bracket.

No clearance issues whatsoever. The power steering reservoir is integral to the upper alternator bracket, no a-arm interference. Best serpentine setup for a C3 vette in my opinion.
