Problems,problems,problems

Pull that cam plug, and shoot us another picture. I'm with Tim. It don't look right. Check the depth to the cam while yer at it.

No chance of any crankcase pressure in that motor,I have 2 -12an ss/braided lines going to a puke can, with a vacuum pump attached to the air/oil separator. 1 line off of each valve cover, with a filtered fresh air inlet.

why so complicated?...whats wrong with breathers?

you might find one on a dealers shelf but I think GM discontinued that bronze bushing....

I've got one of the pilot shaft bushings hanging on the wall. :bounce:

You guys are all soooo helpful
Just kidding, i found a bronze bushing today, but have yet to measure it,just pulled out the rear main seal and the lower shows signs of wear, will post pics later tonight, and when i get the cam plug out i will take pics and measure.
Not a darn thing wrong with breathers, thats the set up i was running for a while, but i get bored and must add parts to the motor for no damm good reason, other than they are there

for you're viewing enjoyment we have parts :bounce:

Rear main seal--on the left, the blue seal is the one i pulled out,on the right, brown seal is the new one i will put in. Now the guy's at Motorsports said this one is for the stroker motor's and it is different and at $25.00 bucks it better never leak. It is a Fel-pro part# don't have it in front of me right now.

Here is the back of the cam, plug is out, what do you think?? see anything there.

Yeh. He had a flat plug in there instead of a cup. Plenty of room for one. Put some Indian Head Shellac around a cup and slam it home. Check the depth first. (No rubbing)

Tim and myself just checked that depth, and the plug and there is plenty of room to put that plug in there where it should be.

Well crap :cussing: just talked to Carl at CNC blocks and that new seal is wrong,it is for a 400 block. But he gave me a Phone# and a part# to get a good seal that will work.
so thats it for tonight i am tired and hungry. this car is whipping my ASS :clobbered:

But i am persistent and i will win

You can see the extra thickeness in the brown seal.
It must be the Fel-pro FFP2909.

Your blue seal looks like a Fel-Pro BS40013, basic offset double lip, usually a good seal, but doesn't always work well.

The one with the shallower groove on the block side is for an align honed 400 rear main. It's not for a stroker motor, the guy at Motorsports must have just looked up the seal for a 3.75" stroke crank, which is a 400. it's wrong for a 350 block. The 400 rear seal when align honed is enlarged so they made the groove shallower to eliminate shimming. Send it back :) It'll never fit (and you're using a 1 to 2pc seal adapter)

You guy's are exactly right about the seals, the brown one is for a 400 sbc and you got the part# correct, the blue one is a fel-pro BS 11829-1. I got a lead on a Viton seal from a place in Ohio, just ordered 2 of them today. Carl (CNC Block) told me about this seal and it is the one he uses, hopefully it will take care of my problem.

anyone buying that should get a kiss while they are getting F&*%#D....

:rofl::rofl: Rest assured i did not order that part,i ordered a couple from a place called Universal Molded Parts, they are made of Viton, $10 for the set,so i ordered 2 just in case i hurt one half putting it in.

BTW: anybody need a rear main seal for a 400 sbc,i have one if you need it before i try to return it.

I don't think so Tim :oh: being scammed twice by company's in Florida is enough for me. Luckily each time i was able to get a full refund :D
I still cant believe that Auto transport company thought they could take my deposit and not pick the vehicle up, I firmly believe that the water supply in Florida is poisoned and it is affecting their brains.

It's not the water.
It's having to look at all those damn bikinis every day of the year. :suicide:

Oh you know i had that problem with an engine builder a couple of years back, you helped me with some info, and thanks to all the help i received my parts and some money back (BTW i was notified by some Fl police detectives he is up on fraud charges i could see some more back)
And then last month i hired an Auto transport co,to bring the truck here from Ca that i purchased, well they took my deposit and decided not to haul the truck, got that money back also. They are both from Florida :skeptic:
Here is the company,so nobody do business with these people
