Excellent!.. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/12/17/houston-store-owner-kills-robbers/ If this happened in LA, DC or NY, the owner would be up on murder charges.

Lazy-assed Ophra watching good for nothings....

Now Obama and Congress seem to have agreed to an additional 13 months of unemployment pay. That totals to 3 YEARS of continuous unemployment checks. As an employer, if I see you have been unemployed for three years, you have no chance in hell working for my business. Geez.

    Had fun today!

I just finished a video taping session with the History Channel. They came by the house and did a segment on old cars...buying/selling and restorations. How cool is that?

    Dyno day

Had some fun today with the local Corvette club. My little '68 'Vette took top honors at 625rwhp and 595rwtq. I think I am pushing the block about as hard as I dare! Disregard the a/f readings...bad sensor.

Can we start a "Bubba" thread?..I'll go first.

A '69 came to the shop yesterday with noise from L/R wheel. The inner wheel bearing was running loose on the spindle (no press fit) and the spindle nut was stripped so that the only thing holding the wheel on the car was the caliper bracket. The nut was off and just rolling around in the flange...

    New project

Last week I picked up a '72 Chevelle. Very rough...will need both fenders, trunk and floor pans, both door skins, trunk lid and maybe a hood. Other than that...lol. Behind the rear seat in the springs was the build sheet in good condition. The usual options including the all important a/c. The...

    It just hit me....

When I did the body-off restoration on my '68 Vert in 1980 I replaced all the brake calipers and filled the system with Dot-5 brake fluid...(silicone). I have had to do NO brake repairs..including topping off of the brake fluid in 29 years. Damn. Only draw-back is a little sponginess in the...

    Dyno day

Yesterday made 10 pulls to dial in the FAST fuel injection. Wound up making 555 rwhp and 532 rwtq. This is with a smaller cam (230/236/114*) that I had used on my last dyno session which netted 538rwhp, with a 242/248/110* cam. I'm thinking a better cam might be a 242/248/112* to generate a...
